Born in January 1939 in Wauchula, Florida, Bobbie was a pillar of strength and devotion for her family. A proud graduate of Hillsborough High School, who then went on to marry John Lee Browning and raise a family in the Tampa area. She dedicated her professional life to the Bay Area concrete pipe industry and the Browning construction business. For 40 years, she was a dedicated resident of Plant City, Florida.
Beyond her professional work, she was defined by her tireless energy—whether she was mowing lawns with her sister as part of their "Turtle and Hare" adventures, climbing trees and managing her yard with a chainsaw in hand, or serving as a dedicated "team coach" at softball fields and band competitions. Her love was most visible in her role as a mother to Donna and Kellie, and as a beloved "Aunt Bobbie" who ensured every niece and nephew felt seen and hugged.
Bobbie was a passionate individual with a love for both motorcycles and golfing. In her younger years, Bobbie was an adventurous "motorcycle-riding momma." The family often took day trips on their motorcycles across Florida, exploring the state.
Her passion for golf began in her later years after meeting and marrying Al Perkins, who introduced her to the sport and the "life of golfing."
Bobbie is survived by her daughters Donna and Kellie Browning, her siblings Linda Rankin and Gerald Leroy Blanton, and a large, loving extended family. She will be remembered by her church community and all who knew her as a woman of action, laughter, and unwavering dedication.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her husbands, John Lee Browning and Al Perkins. Her parents, Nita Woolard and John Jehu Blanton, and her eight siblings: Lois, John, Kenneth, Edward, Morris, David, Ronnie, and Gary.
“May the road rise to meet you.”
“May the wind blow at your back.”
“May the sun shine warm upon your face.”
“May the rains fall softly upon your fields.”
“And until we meet again,”
“May God hold you in the palm of His hand.”
