Barbara Ann Hawkins

Barbara was born in West Point, New York, and spent 12 years of her schooling in Aberdeen, Maryland, graduating from Aberdeen Senior High School. She dedicated over 30 years of her career as an Inventory Control Clerk at Mercedes Benz in Tampa, Florida.

Barbara cherished her family above all, finding joy in watching her children and grandchildren participate in sports and always cheering them on from the sidelines. She had a deep faith in God and a love for music and dancing, especially when shared with her devoted husband, Bill.

Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Joann (Grabosky) Ellis; her father, Clarence Lealon Ellis; her brothers, Danny Lealon Ellis and Edward F. Hawkins.

She is survived by her loving husband, William Charles Hawkins; her children, Troy Charles Hawkins and Kristen, William Tyler Hawkins and Karrie; and her beloved grandchildren and their spouses: Devin Hawkins & Jamie, Brandon Hawkins & Alana, Kirsten Hawkins & Nick, Chase Hawkins & Anna, Cody Crandall & Ashton and Chandler Hawkins. Barbara was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Colton Hawkins and Cooper Hawkins.

She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Patricia A. DeTardo, Alice R. Ellis, Julia I. Engle, and Melissa D. Stockstill; and brothers-in-law, Allan Engle and Ronald Stockstill, along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Barbara's legacy is one of unwavering support, faith, and love for her family. As her family grows and new generations are born, Barbara’s spirit will remain a guiding light, shaping the lives and hearts of all who come after her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A funeral service will take place at 2pm on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Blount and Curry Carrollwood located at 3207 W. Bearss Ave. Tampa, FL. 33618. The family will receive friends one hour prior starting at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude in honor of Barbara.
