

Blanca was born in Ciego de Avila Cuba, one of eight sister and brothers. She married Dr Manuel Fernandez while living in Vertientes, Camagüey. Later they moved to Havana and came to Tampa in 1956 where she worked as a cigar roller and machine operator for 30 years. She also was an independent florist and during the eighties did some part time job at Jenny´s Florist. She was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church where she belong to the Charismatic Group and was also an Eucharistic Minister.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dr Fernandez and her daughter Francis Fernandez. She is survived by family members in Cuba, Spain, and Germany, nephew Raul Vazquez of Georgia, niece May da Bundo of Miami, as well as nephew Dario Vazquez Soto and wife Gisela Vazquez Soto of Tampa and great nieces Aida and Giselle Vazquez.
A visitation for Blanca will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Ave., Tampa, FL 33610. with a funeral service at 12:00 pm. A committal service will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
