What can I say..... we’re losing our loved ones, but not really. When someone we cherish passes we’re at a loss for words. We’re heartbroken by their presence and daily positivity. The best thing to honor is the memory, the valued life lesson left, and the love freely given. In essence it isn’t a loss, it’s a transition..... it’s a new journey..... it’sa homecoming of sorts. What brings a smile is knowing those who passed before us get to go home and see their loved ones. A family reunion. How can we be truly sad if they get to finally be happy and free from pain? How can we feel selfish by their physical presence when their spirit can be free from the worldly troubles? Please know that this initial time will be hard, but the love will never be gone. I will be praying for your family. I personally know there will be hard days ahead. You will transition thru this no matter the heartbreak. Your grandmother will always live in the memory in all those that we’re lucky enough to get a hug or smile from her. I love you all and I assure you that she’s gone but will never be forgotten. Rest in Glory to your grandmother. May her worries finally be later to Rest In Peace. 

I met Aunt Blanche at the Holtzer Miller family reunion in Pennsylvania and exchanged information with her as she lived in Tampa and I had lived there, upon returning she was so good to me, and her and Joy and Missi helped me protect my daughter Clara, they were safety in a hard time in my life... Aunt Blanche is my Grandpa Paul's sister, she showed me how tough and strong the Holtzer side of my family could be and where my mother got her strength and grit from! I love her dearly! I will miss you Aunt Blanche! And I rejoice in your reunion with your Husband! Love -Denise

Aunt Blanche was good to everyone.  She always put others before herself.  She loved her family, and loved to have them and as many others  who could come, be at her table.  She wasn’t a half full or have empty cup person. She always saw her cup as full!!  She was  positive and happy.  Until her health prevented it, she was active and busy.  I think she knew how to do and fix almost everything!!  I will miss her.

I met Blanche when she started picking up Cody from the nursery at SHUMC. I loved her and whole family from the beginning. She had such a big heart. I know now how she felt in her heart for her family. Cody was her great grandson and as you know I just lost my great granddaughter. My heart goes out to each of you in your loss of such a great person. I love and miss her.

Bobbitt family. 

I was pretty much a toddler when I met Mrs. Brant. While I don't recall ever saying this, Joy, and all the Brants, recall me hanging on the fence everytime they went to their car, and saying, "Hey lady...where ya goin?"  Such a nosey neighbor kid, wonder how she ever stood me. My mother and Mrs Brant would do yard work all day, and then talk at the fence.  It was a ritual.  Later when I used to catch the bus with Joy (we both went to Temple Heights for a while together) I'd sit in their living room and wait for the bus.  Joy would play the organ and their house always smelled like breakfast.  We all were close neighbors. The Sames, Campisi's, Bucarillas, Antinori's and Miranda's.  Those were some of the most special times of my life.  And after all these years of knowing her, and knowing she passed, based on my infamous question to her, hey.... I know EXACTLY where she's goin.  And I will see her again.  Love u all so much.  

I only met this lovely lady a few times but she was a joy to be around.  I know she is with the angels now and smiling down on Missi and her loved ones. Prayers for the family.  

Joy became one of my first friends when I started attending Temple Heights Christian School my Junior year.  Starting a new school as a teenager wasn't easy, but Joy and her Mom and Dad welcomed me into their family and made the transition less challenging.  Mrs. Brant was always sweet and smiling.  She put up with a lot of silliness and a few foolish adventures that Joy and I cooked up!  She will be missed of course, but the memories will live on.

Lile and I  met Aunt Blanche twenty years ago when she visited our home for the December wedding of our daughter Julie and her nephew Donald Holtzer.   It was impressive that she came from Florida to Virginia during a busy month to lend "Holtzer"  support to  Don for the happy occasion.    She was gracious and delightful and immediately became part of our family too.   Lile and I are so sorry that Aunt Blanche has left us.  We are grateful that she had a long and outstanding life  and that we could be a small part of it.  We extend our deepest sympathy to her family.

Blanche and her family have long been considered our family. We moved next door to Blanche when I was only 5, now 45, so one can only imagine the memories and closeness that bonded  our families. Blanche has been loved and held dear by every person of my  family, we hope that this transition is as peaceful as can be expected . May the Lord welcome her home, and surrond her loved ones with warmth and peace.
