Brownlee Urquhart, Sr. Born on September 27, 1930 in Dade City FL. Died on October 23, 2020 in Lakeland FL. Brownlee is survived by his wife of 7 ½ years, Bonnie as well as his son, Brownlee Jr. (Janina) Urquhart, daughter Edith Ann (Harvey) Dupree, stepdaughter Bonnie June (Joseph) Devenport; granddaughters Lisa, Peggy and Ellen and grandsons Dana and Hank. In addition he is survived by 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Two of his nephews, Lorenzo Otero and Herb Urquhart were very special and helpful to him over the past few years, whether taking him to lunch and for a drive, doing repairs around the house, mowing the lawn or simply spending time with him. He is also survived by his faithful canines PeeWee and Penny.
Brownlee was preceded in death by his parents William Riley Sr. and Lura Virginia Urquhart, his wife Louise and 4 brothers and 5 sisters.
During his life Brownlee worked for Seaboard Coastline Railroad, was a Parrish Deputy in New Orleans, became a Superintendent in the New Orleans Painters Union and an Inspector for Alpha Testing.
The family would like to say a special thank you to VITAS Hospice of Lakeland for their care over the past 11 months. Graveside service will take place on Monday, November 2, 2020 at 2pm at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, Fl. The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45pm.
