A native of Tampa, Florida, Bruce worked for GTE/Verizon for over 40 years. In 1985, he installed a phone at a Tampa’s Centro Asturiano that seemed to require frequent repair. It wasn’t long until he discovered it was an RN working there, his eventual wife, Joanna, breaking the phone to ensure he would return to fix it. Bruce and Joanna were inseparable from that moment of discovery until Joanna’s recent passing in December 2024. After retirement from the phone company, Bruce spent his time assisting in the day to day running of his wife’s medical practice and supporting her in her charitable endeavors with the Krewe of Pandora where he became beloved by many. Bruce was an avid outdoorsman and prolific gun collector who loved hunting and fishing. Particularly he loved bow hunting whitetail deer. He was instrumental in the forming and running of Nine Mile Hunt Camp in Jasper, Florida for decades where he made countless friends throughout the years. Bruce’s greatest pleasure in life was spending time in the company of his friends and family, especially his son-in-law Roger and grandson Jack. He was a devoted husband and a staunch protector of his family. Bruce was generous with his knowledge and time to all who were fortunate to know him well.
A graveside memorial and interment to be announced at a later date.
