As a young man Carl served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. After his time in the military Carl had a successful career as a Civil Engineer. He had extensive knowledge and experience in the field of Electronic Communications (long distance radio system, teletype carrier system, and microwave system etc.) He also received many awards; one being to improve efficiency of equipment and systems used by the Federal Gov’t and military services.
Carl had a passion for Ham Radio, doing aeronautical stunts, like flying upside down, while piloting airplanes, reading books and spending lots of time with his puppy Dasher.
He is predeceased by his parents; Myrtle Elsie Okerman Seyersdahl and Grover Cleveland Seyersdahl and six siblings.
Carl is survived by; his beloved wife of 61 years, Bernarda Seyersdahl, brother Ronald Albright, children;
Susan M. Seyersdahl of Dayton, Ohio, Ronald E. Seyersdahl of Tampa, Florida, Carol "Kiki" Dahlke and husband Troy of Ocala, Florida, Kevin Seyersdahl of Tampa, Florida, grandchildren: Dakota Dahlke, Travis Dahlke, Sarah Seyersdahl, Mazzy Seyersdahl,
Lydia Seyersdahl, Ryan Seyersdahl, Dustin Seyersdahl, Stacey Miller, Jeremy Miller, and extended family.
A visitation for Carl will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a funeral service at 2:00 pm at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E Lake Ave, Tampa, Fla. 33610. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
