I just discovered that Ms. Carmen had passed.  She will be missed more than words can describe.  I have known her for many, many years and she was one of the kindest, most thoughtful people I have ever known.  I will miss her terribly.  

It was okay, though, because the perishables didn’t perish as she found it shortly afterwards, intact & undamaged, thankfully!

I believe my aunt loved the Lord.  I believe she showed that through the way she shared His love and the light ( His light ) that she would shine in her demonstration of her love for others.  
She attended mass to receive His word and His strength. She was steadfast and faithful in the relationships He put in her life.  I do believe she turned to Him in her struggles and I do believe she is with Him, safely and comfortably enjoying His warmth and the unconditional love that only He can give and cannot be experienced in this earthly life.  


A very fond memory of the light she would shine upon me personally was at my rehearsal dinner.  She just pulled me aside and subtly whispered to me that she believed that I would be very happy.

She was right about that. I love my aunt and I will miss her. 💛


My aunt loved animals.  She loved a good movie.  She loved a good, guttural laugh, more like a guffaw, you could hear it down the next block!

She probably knew that when seagulls and geese travel in a v formation, they rotate their position to share the the burden of the most strenuous wind strength.  The one at the front needing it the most to relieve the ones behind before rotating again from exhaustion.

She probably also knew that barn owls mate for life; for her love of animals, but also because she definitely knew something about sacrifice.

She definitely knew that dogs give the only unconditional love we see while on earth & cats, well....if she found a stray one, she had to keep it.  

I know she carried her bible with her when it counted.  It came in handy, holding the boarding passes between its pages on the longest part of the flight all the way to Italy.  Of course, she didn’t know they were there until AFTER they had boarded..... The important part was: that bible and her faith in it ( along with those boarding passes ) kept her & my parents safe on their way & back from Italy!

My aunt was a great cook. She cooked regularly.  She cooked for her family, and she extended her loving “chef” hand when life sometimes got difficult & would sometimes slow others down.   There was nothing that her chicken & yellow rice couldn’t fix.  If only it could be multiplied, it could bring world peace.

She spent a lot of time at the grocery store, sometimes probably so preoccupied with her next meal and requirements, etc... that she would forget things, inconsequential things, like putting the car in park before getting out of it.  She had to get inside the store!  Of course, when she came out of the store with everything she needed, it would be difficult to get the groceries inside of it if  she could not find her vehicle because it had rolled down the incline into the street!

Dear Ernie, I am so sorry about Carmen's passing. You and the family are in my prayers. Carmen was a wonderful friend and she will be missed.  Her smiling face is ingrained in my memory , and I am so thankful to have known her. I know she is in God's care now and am very well aware of your sadness.

Carmen was a very sweet and honest woman.  I could talk with her about anything and knew she would be  truthful.  

I can recall the good times we had when she worked in the parking garage.  

I will never forget Diaz she was a strong woman

Oh my, what a privilege it was to be friends with Carmen. She was the best story teller and would often have us laughing out loud. Her family was everything to her, and I believe she was everything to them. She was always helping others, wherever she went. But an event that sticks out in my mind was when we went to see Menopause the Musical. Oh my goodness, we laughed with tears running down our cheeks throughout the whole production. What a great night it was! And now whenever l use my Menopause the Musical paper fan, l think of her and reminisce.  I will cherish her memory forever. Love you, my friend!
