Carmen Migdalia Gonzalez, 64, of Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026. Born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, Carmen carried the warmth, rhythm, and vibrant spirit of her island roots with her throughout her life.
Carmen was the heart of her home — a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and caring daughter and sister. As a homemaker, she poured her love into every corner of her family’s life. Her kitchen was a place of comfort and joy, always filled with the sweet aroma of something baking, the sound of laughter, and the feeling that you were exactly where you belonged.
She found happiness in the simple but beautiful things — baking her delicious cakes, cooking meals that brought everyone together, dancing with joy, celebrating life at every opportunity, and most of all, spending cherished time with her family. Carmen didn’t just attend gatherings — she was the life of the party. Her smile lit up every room, and her love made everyone feel special.
She is reunited in eternal peace with her beloved son, Jose Emmanuel Gonzalez, whom she carried in her heart always.
Carmen leaves behind a legacy of love and strength through her devoted husband, Justo Gonzalez; her daughters, Janitsa Gonzalez and Lisandra Gonzalez; her treasured grandchildren, Alexa Gonzalez, Amiya Gonzalez, Izayah Gonzalez, Leilani Mohammed, Brevier Concepcion and Zayvier Concepcion; her loving parents, Aida Diaz and Damaso Diaz; and her brother, Anthony Diaz. Each of them carries a piece of her beautiful spirit within them.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort knowing that Carmen’s love lives on in every family recipe, every song that makes us dance, and every joyful celebration shared in her honor. She taught us that family is everything and that life is meant to be celebrated.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 4 pm to 7 pm on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Blount and Curry Carrollwood, located at 3207 W Bearss Ave. Tampa, FL. 33618. There will be a time of prayer and remembrance at 6 pm.
Carmen will be laid to rest in Puerto Rico.
