Carol Ann Bauer

Carol was born June 1,1942, in Cresco, IA. She was the daughter of Bert and Freda (Petersen) Hanson. Carol grew up in LeRoy, MN, graduating from high school in 1960. Carol’s work career was with IBM in Rochester, MN and Tampa, FL, retiring in 1995. On August 11, 1979, she was united in marriage to David Bauer.

Carol loved cooking, crafting, the beach and spending time with her friends and family. She also volunteered at the American Legion cooking meals and crafting. Carol loved spending time with her family and sharing her sassy personality with all her friends and loved ones. She was a wonderful, committed daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and will be dearly missed.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband and best friend David Bauer and her furry best friend Woody. Her children Danny Nation (Philippines), Terri (Bob) Mossyge (LeRoy, MN), Kurt (Suzie) Nation( Portland, OR), Nicole (Chris) Thomas (Tampa, FL) along with her grandchildren Dustin Hellickson (Ostrander, MN), Taylor (Brittany) Lansing (Onalaska, WI), Cody Nation (Joplin, MO), Caleb Hernandez (Tampa, FL), Kelsey Hernandez (Nashville, TN), Logan (Jordan) Thomas (Palmetto, FL), Makenna Thomas (Orlando, FL) and great grandchildren Curtis Hellickson and Haven Thomas. Brother Kenny (Ilene) Hanson, Sisters-in-law Kaye Hanson and Kathi Hanson, Father-in-law Bert Bauer, Brother-in-law Tim (Brenda) Bauer and many loved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Bert and Freda Hanson, Ila Hanson, siblings Foster Hanson, Bob Paupach, Joe Hanson, Don Hanson, Betty Christy, Denny Hanson, David Hanson, and mother-in-law Julia Bauer.

A funeral service for Carol will take place at 3pm on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Blount and Curry Carrollwood located at 3207 W. Bearss Ave. Tampa, FL. 33618. The family will receive friends one hour prior starting at 2pm.
