Carol was born in Mineral Wells, Texas to D.K. Jack and Eunice Garrett on December 17th,1943. She went to Mineral Wells High School. She married Jack D. Parr on November 21st in Fort Wolters Texas. She graduated from Central Texas College. She worked as a paralegal, legal assistant for the legal department at SunTrust Bank until her retirement in 1999. She was involved in various organizations. She was the Chairman of the Red Cross Volunteers at Darnell Army Hospital, Ft Hood TX; Officer Wives Club at various posts, Girl Scout Leader for her daughter’s Troop; City Lifeguard and swimming instructor; member of Hillsdale Baptist Church and a Life Member of the Order of Pythian Sisters. She lived life with a sense of adventure as she moved to various places as an Army wife. Had the privilege of performing with a choral group at the world's fair in Beijing, Shanghai and on the Great Wall of China. Her adventures included road trips, visiting various countries, swimming with dolphins as well as hot air ballooning, and skydiving on her 65th birthday.
Carol is survived by her husband Jack, daughters Marsha and Shellie, grandchildren Jared, Austin and Lauren and great granddaughter Aaliyah.
