Catherine Najarian, 64, passed away on September 7, 2026. Born on November 19, 1961, Catherine lived as a selfless, strong-willed, and deeply compassionate woman who met life head-on. She always stood up for those she cared for, yet shared a warmth and kindness that made people feel at ease in her presence. She was generous and caring to her family, her friends, and so many other people who had the opportunity to meet her in life.
Catherine was the owner of Sterling Auto Brokers, a successful car dealership she built independently from the ground up. In her work and stewardship, she managed sales, staff, and customers with honesty and consideration. Her straightforward and fair business dealings naturally led to many meaningful lifelong friendships with clients, employees, and even industry competitors.
Beyond her career, Catherine’s spirit was unmistakably that of a thrill seeker and adrenaline enthusiast. She rode a lime green Kawasaki ZX-10R superbike and even street raced a 1997 V10 Dodge Viper — machines that represented her fearlessness and love of living life on the edge. She also had a deep connection and love for the equestrian world. In her youth, Catherine was an extraordinarily talented and skillful horse rider. As a teenager, she could race horses proficiently and was even hired to train and break horses professionally — those who watched her in action said it was like something out of a movie.
Catherine was part Cherokee and held a deep interest in early Native American culture. She loved the scenery of the mountainous landscapes of the American Southwest, herds of bison, dreamcatchers, wild horses, and the Western Frontier. What she revered about their culture mirrors the many dimensions within her soul — pure and honorable purpose, a connection to nature, and most of all a profound love and respect for animals.
Visitation will be held at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E LAKE AVE, TAMPA, FL 33610, on September 16, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. A Service will follow at the same location on September 16, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm. A Graveside Service will be held thereafter at the same location on September 16, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
Catherine will be remembered with deep respect and lasting gratitude—for her selfless commitment to her family, her kindness and compassion, and the unforgettable fun memories she brought into the lives around her.
