Cathy Lee Hoffman

Cathy was born in Detroit, Michigan, on June 26, 1956, to Dennis and Lois Casey, and grew up in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend, and her family was always at the center of her world.

Cathy is survived by her four children: daughters Jennifer Cameron (Duane), Rebecca Hoffman, and Caitlin Hoffman (Brendan), and her son Andrew Hoffman. She was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren: Matthew Cameron, Jacob Cameron, Aiden Cameron, Harper Trigg, Raegan Pulido, Hudson Pulido, and Dalton Pulido.

She is also survived by her brother, William Casey, and her sister, Theresa Wiles, along with many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.

Cathy spent more than 30 years working at N-41 Bingo, where she made countless memories and friendships. She had many friends throughout her life, and once Cathy considered you a friend, you were family. She had a way of making people feel welcome and cared for, and there are many people who will miss her laughter, her stubbornness, her kindness, and simply having her around.

Cathy loved the things that brought her joy. She loved bowling, bingo, reading, and crafting, and she especially loved to travel. Cruising was one of her favorite ways to travel, and she enjoyed the adventure, the places she visited, and the memories she made along the way.

Cathy was stubborn, feisty, and fiercely loyal. She had a heart that was bigger than she probably ever gave herself credit for. She was the person who would do anything for anyone. If someone needed help, Cathy didn't wait to be asked. She was usually the first person to volunteer, the first to show up, and the one you could count on when you needed her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Lois Casey; her sister, Cheryl Briggs; and her brother, Michael Casey.

Cathy leaves behind a family who loved her deeply and who will miss her more than words can say. Her children and grandchildren will carry her memory with them—in the things she taught them, the stories they share, the traditions they continue, and all the little pieces of her that will always remain a part of them.

Cathy lived her life taking care of others, making friends wherever she went, enjoying the things she loved, and loving her family in her own strong-willed, unforgettable way. She will be missed every single day, but she will never be forgotten.

The family will receive friends from 2-3pm on Monday, October 5, 2026 at Blount and Curry Carrollwood Funeral Home located at 3207 W. Bearss Ave. Tampa, FL. 33618. Following the visitation, the family will honor Cathy with a memorial service at 3pm, also at Blount and Curry Carrollwood Funeral Home.
