Charlie Wilcher

In Loving Memory After a valiant battle with cancer, Charlie Wilcher, 61, left us on July 8, 2015 with his loving family near him in Tampa, Florida. Charlie was born to Charles and Joyce Wilcher in Pensacola and raised in Ohio. He graduated from The Ohio State University in Columbus in 1976 with a degree in biochemistry. Charlie married his wife Beth in 1978 and moved to Tampa where they raised five beautiful children. Charlie and Beth moved to the Atlanta area in 1995 where they befriended many and enjoyed golfing and traveling together. In addition to a rewarding sales career, Charlie loved restoring classic automobiles and was a craftsman of exceptional talent. Charlie and Beth returned to Tampa in 2012 to be closer to their family. His love for life and generous nature won him friends throughout his lifetime and were cherished by all that knew him. Charlie is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; mother, Joyce; siblings, Stephanie, Steve, Rich and their families; children, Regan, Richard, Beth, Matthew, Charlie Jr and their families, grandchildren, Ryne, Christopher, Alessandra and cousins, David and Debbie and their families. A gathering to honor Charlie’s life will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 3207 West Bears Ave, Tampa, FL 33618 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Charlie Wilcher to The Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation for GI Research.
