He was born to Paul and Ingeborg Trina on October 21, 1963, in Indianapolis, Indiana. His family then moved to Lincolnshire, Illinois where he attended and graduated from Adlai E. Stevenson High School. After high school, Chris moved to Tampa, Florida where he attended the University of South Florida earning a degree in accounting. He remained a lifelong Bulls fan and continued close relationships with his brothers of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.
Chris was a deeply loving family man, always bringing his children, Danielle, and Kyle, on his many adventures. He enjoyed attending and coaching football games; in fact, he would be the first one in the parking lot setting up his RV. If he wasn't hanging out at his favorite local bar or restaurant, you could find him near a body of water; at a hotel swimming pool, one of Florida's many beaches, or riding snowmobiles on a frozen lake in Northern Wisconsin, he was there.
Chris will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to helping those in need. He maintained a close relationship with the local community and loved to support small businesses. He was a steadfast philanthropist dedicated to leaving the world better than he found it.
Chris is predeceased by his father, Paul L. Trina; mother, Ingeborg E. Trina; and sister, Sue Burns.
He is survived by his daughter, Danielle Henry and her husband Mark; son, Kyle Trina; grandchildren, Peyton and Layne Henryhis; siblings, Martin, Tom, Tyiesha, and Teaoni; his nephews, Brandon and Colton; and his nieces, Christina, Jill, Trina, Tori, and Keymoni; as well and many loving extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that everyone choose one small business to patronize.
A visitation for Chris will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Grace Family Church located at 22920 FL-54, Lutz, FL 33549. A funeral service will follow from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
