Connie Jean Holt Gessler passed away peacefully on March 18, 2024, surrounded by her family after a long battle with Kidney Cancer. Connie was born on April 12, 1956, to parents Joe and Genevia Holt in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
The family moved to Tampa, Florida in 1964. Connie grew up in Tampa, graduating from Robinson High School and working for Sears Roebuck and Co. for 29 years. Once retired, Connie began working part-time at BJ's Wholesale Club in Tampa where she enjoyed interacting with her coworkers and repeat customers.
She is survived by her daughter Brittany Gessler, sisters Rita Anderson and Judy Taylor Reece, brothers Eddie Holt, Bing Taylor, and Shelton Taylor, brother-in-law James Howard, and many nieces, nephews, including Samantha Brito, her daughter Selena Brito, Jason Anderson, his wife Tia Anderson, and daughter Desiree Anderson, and many friends. Connie was the kindest soul, always cheerful and willing to help anybody in need. She had an infectious laugh that kept her family and friends in good spirits during tough times.
An avid Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Tampa Bay Rays fan, Connie often attended home games with Brittany; go Bucs, Bolts, and Rays!
