Daniel Joseph Shepherd

Daniel Joseph Shepherd passed away Friday 5/29/15. Dan was born Aug 6th, 1958 in Detroit, raised in Ferndale MI. During his adult life, he could be found in Michigan, New York, Jacksonville Florida, West Palm Beach and finally, Tampa. He was the beloved husband of Laura Dorman and father to Joshua, Nathan, Crystal (Aaron) stepchildren Forrest Roberts( Sami) and Justin Roberts (Kati) with 5 wonderful grandchildren. He was born to Homer Hayes Shepherd and Claudia Cyrus. He was predeceased by his father Homer, siblings Homer Jr, Darlene and eldest son Jason. Survived by his wife Laura, ex-wife Wendi, children, grandchildren and siblings; Connie Rozman, David (Terri), Donald (Cheryl) Debbie Campagna (Darryl), Darren (Lori) and many nieces and nephews he enjoyed spending time with. Dan was a Welder, Custom Broker, Emissions Analyst (GM) and Packaging Specialist (Zellerback, Associated, JNC Design). Dan loved the outdoors, beach, adventure, traveling abroad (Germany) and could be found riding his Harley or walking Brutus. Our families thank all the wonderful staff at Florida Hospital Tampa, Fl. Hospital Wesley Chapel & Hospice Care Life Path. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Children’s Home of Tampa and Hospice. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 from the Carrollwood Chapel of Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 3207 W. Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL 33618. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Thonotosassa, FL.. All arrangements are under the direction of Blount & Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood Chapel.
