Mr. Darren will be truly missed. Saying he was a great man is an understatement. He was a phenomenal man whole love his family dearly. He was selfless and giving. He was the trivia guru and everyone always wanted him on their team. He was truly just a happy person and if you were around him, you'd be that way too. His smile was so infectious that it left you no choice, but to realize that whatever you're going through "it will be okay." Kaiya loves her grandfather very much and still mentions her grandfather in her prayers. She often talks about how he had a bird named Smokey or how when she wanted candy she knew she could go to her grandfather.  Mr. Darren was instrumental in her us making it to the hospital for Kaiya's birth and for that I'm forever grateful. He is deeply missed and my heart goes out to the rest of his family. ❤️

Sorry for your loss, may the light show you the way to go forward in life. 

God gifted you to me just when I  needed you and he gave me a precious, valuable and life remembering love that no one can replace.   You truly were one of a kind.  The love you gave unselfishly to all who knew you was remarkable and contagious.  I will forever be grateful for the time God gave us and you will  forever be in my

Your voice in my head calling Rod "Papa" and saying "Power to the people" will always be on the forefront. Such a kind hearted person. Will never forget the day he came and got Rod & I because my tire blew out. Not only got Rod for me, but waited the whole time they fixed my tire. Then followed me to make sure I got on the interstate and was good. Kindhearted, selfless, loving, caring, the list goes on! And let's not forget Funny! I'll be cheering on the Dolphins for you!!!! May GOD continue to grant peace and strength to the family! 

To Darren my baby brother. My best friend. You and I were together growing up. During the good times. You were the family historian you can’ remember something that I completely forgot about I’m gonna remember the days we had a good times iat tings when we were growing up, you always had a way to make me laugh. I am going to miss you dearly lill brother I  call you and we would talk for hours about the Miami Dolphins. Definitely a diehard I know you aare adie hard fan  of the dolphins. I can remember that I will not call you you when the Dolphins lose I’ll give you a day or two to calm down😊 I want you to be at peace and I was always remember that I love you forever your big brother Douglas



Darren I can't believe this. You have been a wonderful friend and big brother to me.  You were a warrior and even through your pain you still smiled. I pray for peace and strength to your wife and family. You will be missed. Quisha

Darren, words cannot express how we all feel as your siblings.  You were deeply loved by your family.  As your big sister and "second  mother", you will forever be in my heart.  You were the absolute best, and you loved unconditionally.  I will miss our talks and your laughter, but I know that  you are now at peace with the Lord. Rest well until we meet again.

Darren loved unconditionally and accepted my grands and great grands with an open heart.

He was always positive and encouraging.  May he rest in peace.

To his wife Althea and family, I ask the Lord to Sustain their grieving hearts and keep them ALL wrapped in His Arms of Love. My prayers and much love.

The only man I knew that smiled through it all!!! 

Always can depend on Mr. Darren for a quick joke or laughter. I will never forget how Mr. Darren was always a joy!
