David R. Campbell "Big Dave", age 60, of Tampa, Florida passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021. He was born June 11, 1961, the son of Raymond and Bonnie Campbell. Dave was the beloved husband and best friend to Cathy for 40 years. He was a devoted father to his sons, David (Mariah), Ryan (Brittani), Andrew and Anthony. He had 6 grandchildren; Joshua, Andrew, Harliegh, Aurora, Nicholas and Savannah; brother, Raymond (Deborah); sisters, Vicki Allen (Michael) and Robin Campbell; his family from Elmira, NY, parents-in-law, Michael and Joan Mandell; sisters-in-law, Teresa (Archie) Haner and Deborah Mandell (John Petrisky); and brother-in-law, Mike Mandell (Deborah); and many "kids" from over the years that he treated as his own children. Dave was a hardworking man with an impressive career as an electrician with Power Electric. However, to the kids in the daycare, and so many others, he was known as "Papi". He was a selfless man and never let anyone around him go without. In lieu of a service, there will be a get-together at the family home on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 3-7 pm. Donations may be made in Dave's memory to the Shriners.

There are many fond memories over many years ago as we were next door neighbors. Many shared home projects, life events, holidays.
May you and your family find comfort in the memories you have that will keep David alive in your hearts.
My condolences to everyone.

You will be missed by all. Thank you for being "Pops" to my boys and the whole crew. I am forever grateful for the impact you had on my son, Nick. I know you are with him, still guiding him. Give him a hug for me and "Mamma Kat". We all love you.

David, I will always cherish the memories of us growing up together. You were my best friend growing up - we laughed, cried, played and ran together. When we rode horses, I remember how you would get Tamar to rear up on his hind legs. Although we didn't talk often, you will always be in my heart.
I love you, David!

David and I were very close growing up, we were more like brothers than friends. We did everything together like riding bikes, playing army, playing in the dirt with our cars, playing baseball or doing stupid things like playing chicken with knives throwing at each others feet. There wasn't much we didn't do together on a daily basis growing up. Dave I love you and will never forget you or anything we have done together. We have made memories together that will live on forever. Until we meet again my good friend, my brother. Say a good word for me.

Remembering David so fondly. I remember first meeting David as a young window washer at JJ Newberrys. He and Cathy were that couple you knew were meant to be together. First as friends, and then as the friendship grew and grew, as a loving couple. Sending my most sincere condolences to Cathy and her loving family.

Big Dave had a way of making people feel a part of the family. He always had a smile and a hug to give. I will remember how easy it was to "catch up " . A long time could have passed but it never felt that way. Just like family.
