She is survived by her beloved husband Roger, sons Trent Cayler (Patty), Michael Cayler (Amanda), Granddaughters Lily, Nicole and Cassidy, sister Fran Brunssen of Sacramento, California, nephew Joseph Parysek and niece Beth Brunssen Morse also of Sacramento.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ruth and Dale Grafft.
Dayle was born on December 18, 1941, resided in Central City Iowa until her teen years, then Cedar Rapids until her young adult years and then finally to Tampa, Florida in 1968. After living in cold winters her whole life, once she got to Florida, she never left and made Tampa her permanent home.
Dayle was employed by Jai Alai and the Tampa Dog Track for many years, and it was there she met Roger, the love of her life. They had a good life together traveling after their retirement, spending time with their families, and enjoying their home that they opened to many pets. She was affectionately known as the neighborhood cat lady.
Upon retirement, Dayle became an avid walker, exerciser, People Magazine reader, and crime show watcher. As much as she enjoyed all these things, she enjoyed and loved her granddaughters the most. Just simply spending time with them gave her the most happiness.
Dayle had a great sense of humor, loved a good joke and had a great contagious laugh. She left a lasting impression on everyone she met. To know her was to love her and she will be missed by all who knew her.
