Deanna Rae Walker

Deanna was born in Davenport, Iowa to Robert Grant Lindle and Shirley Jean Lindle on August 12th, 1943. She graduated from Baker County High School in Macclenny, Florida in 1962. Deanna grew up loving nature and animals, but especially horses, and was a member of the 4-H Club. On May 18, 1968, she married the love of her life, Jarrell William Walker, in Jacksonville, Florida. Together they raised their three children in the Tampa Bay Area, which was Deanna’s greatest passion in life. Deanna poured her heart and soul into raising her children and being involved in their schooling and extra-curricular activities. Deanna loved to make homemade meals and desserts for family and friends, especially for momentous occasions. She enjoyed going to local parks on trail walks and boating with her family. She loved history and documenting memories through her many photo albums and sharing family stories. Deanna had a knack for expressing her feelings toward a person or occasion through her beautiful poetry writing. Deanna loved people, and with her jovial disposition, she never met a stranger. She could always find a reason to laugh or smile and it showed when she talked about her grandchildren. They were so very special to her, and she always loved watching them, having sleepovers, playing scrabble and baking cookies with all of them. Deanna truly loved her life with her husband, Jary, and being a mother and grandmother and being the best aunt and sister she could be. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Deanna is preceded in death by her husband, Jarrell Walker, her parents, Robert and Shirley Lindle, and her sister, Connie Baker. Deanna is survived by her children Jeffrey Walker (Heather), Taryn Groves (Jacob), Steven Walker (Evan Marie), grandchildren Kylie Walker, Gavin Walker, Ella Groves, Abigail Groves, Caroline Groves, Keaton Walker, Broderick Walker and her two sisters Donna Eliason and Tammy Lindle.

The family held a private service. Arrangements by Blount and Curry Funeral Home.
