She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Fidelina San Juan and Edward San Juan, as well as her beloved daughter, Fidelina “Lina” Castellano. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 66-years, Sam Castellano, her son Leo Castellano, daughters Jennefer Porter (married to Jeff Porter) and Angelea Waygood (married to Chuck Waygood), her three adoring grandchildren, Marina Jean Waygood, McLaine Waygood and Hudson Porter as well as her loving brother Edward F. San Juan and sister in law, Dorothy San Juan.
She worked many years in the Hillsborough County Public Schools system as a bookkeeper and an English as a Second Language teacher. She was active in volunteering at St. Joseph’s hospital as a “pink lady” delivering flowers to the sick and elderly. Additionally, she was an involved member of the Parent Teacher’s Association at all 4 of her children’s schools.
The services will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025 at The Garden of Memories from 10:30 - 12:30, immediately followed by the burial at Myrtle Hill Cemetery, followed by a reception at the Cemetery.
Pallbearers include her two son in laws, Chuck Waygood and Jeff Porter, her two nephews and god sons Edward San Juan & Chris Castellano, her god son Kenny Castellano and her nephew Norman “Buddy” Czubaj.
Donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and pdLIFE (Tampa Bay community Parkinson’s Disease charity).
Jean will be greatly missed and cherished always.
