

Diane was born in Tampa, Florida to Louis and Toretha Anthony on November 8, 1955. She attended school in the Hillsborough County School system. She married Ernie Manghram Sr. 25 years ago in Augusta, Georgia. She graduated from Hillsborough Community College with an Associate of Science degree of Nursing, University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree of Nursing in 1981 and Master Science Degree of Nursing in 1992, Medical College of Georgia with a Nurse Practitioner and Doctor of Nursing Practice PhD degree in 2010. Diane was/is a candidate for her Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing PhD in Interdisciplinary Health, working on her Dissertation at Walden University with expected graduation in late 2021 or early 2022.
In Tampa, Florida, Diane worked for over 35 plus years as a nurse at Centro Asturiano Hospital, Kelley Services, University Community Hospital (currently, Advent Health), and the Hillsborough County Correctional Facility. In 1993, Diane moved to Augusta, Georgia to work at Augusta University formally known as The Medical College of Georgia. In the last 5 years, Diane worked in Augusta, Georgia and 3 other locations and specialized in Neurology and Nurse Practitioner affiliated with Augusta University Medical Center. Diane dedicated her time to improve the wellness of her patients and was always studying and educating herself.
Besides being in the medical field, Diane enjoyed life by touring other countries, cycling, Scuba diving, Racquetball, African Dance, and being a member of the Usher Board as a young adult.
Diane loved to travel, spending time with family and friends, and she enjoyed life to the fullest. Diane made friends wherever she went. Diane loved life and enjoyed a variety of food from different cultures. Diane loved to dance, sew, and she loved God. Diane was baptized at an early age at New Salem Baptist Church of Tampa, Florida. She attended Friendship Mission Baptist Church and Bible-Based Fellowship Church of Tampa, Florida until she moved to George in 1993 and attended New Life Church.
Diane is preceded in death by Father Louis C. Anthony (2006) and Mother Toretha E. Anthony (2021).
Diane is survived by her husband: Ernie P. Manghram Sr.; Son: Ernie P. Manghram Jr.; Sisters: Cheryl Davis, Cassandra Anthony, and LaShon Lofgren; Niece’s/Nephews: Rochelle (Keith) Phillips, Douglas Davis, Calvin Pulphus, Alondrae Lofgren, LaTora (Jordan) Heath, and Aisha Mack; Great Nieces/Nephews: Indigo Phillips, Yuri Phillips, Jah Phillips, Bryce Davis, McKinley Davis, Lyla Simmons, Zola Heath and Ezekiel Heath; and a host of cousins, friends, Aunts and Uncles.
Memorial Service will be held from 6-8 p.m. on September 24, 2021 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Ave, Tampa, Florida 33610.
