A lifelong Tampa resident, the one word which best encapsulated her life was: “selfless”. She spent many years as Head Bookkeeper at Sexton Valenti Produce, but was always at our Dad’s (John’s) side throughout his battle with cancer, which he succumbed to in 1978. All the while, she was raising three young boys, and was the glue which held us together. Then she experienced tremendous heartache after losing her middle son (Angelo), our brother, in 1985. Yet she remained steadfast as the Matriarch, almost always with a smile on her face, and sharing her unmatched wit, as well as her faith.
She was someone who never gave up on anyone or anything. A fighter right to the end, and someone who touched countless lives along the way. The love she gave us was unmatched. Her nurturing and affection never left us wanting.
We will be having a private small graveside service only, per her wishes for many years.
