Don L Washington Jr.

Don was born in Paducah, Kentucky to Don L, Sr, and Wanda Jean Lott Frazier Washington February 12, 1973. He graduated from Clear Creek High School in League City, TX. He enlisted in the United States Army upon graduation from high school and was stationed in Germany. During his enlistment he was awarded the Army Achievement Medal and National Defense Service Medal. After leaving the Army he earned an Associate’s degree and then went on to enroll in aviation school and became a commercial pilot for a regional airline. He later married his soulmate Sherra on October 18, 2015 in Tampa, FL. He subsequently made a career change, where he worked as a truck driver for BayCare Health System for more than 12 years. Don was a man of many talents and was also working on establishing his own auto business, King Don Motors.

Don is preceded in death by his mother Wanda; and both sets of grandparents. Don is survived by his wife Sherra and their two children Donnell III and Cateleya; his father Don L Sr (Patricia); his brother and sister, Virgil Washington and Tonya Goan (James); his father and mother in law John and Verana Richardson; brothers and sisters in law, Stanley (Karissa); Isis (Ryan); Marcus, Jasmine and Jared; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Blount and Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories with Chaplain Alfred Joe Ivie III, System Director of Spiritual and Palliative Care, BayCare Health System, officiating. Arrangements are by Blount and Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories.
