After high school he served in the Marines during Vietnam. After the service he relocated to Florida from Villa Park, IL in 1972 and was employed as a maintenance technician for General Telephone & Electric (GTE). After retiring from GTE, he founded D&L Screen Printing Inc. with his late wife, Linda.
He is survived by his son, Ronald of Tampa, daughter Donna Sanz (Chris) of Tampa, brother Robert (Linda) of Amelia, OH, grandson, Christopher Sanz, as well as four nephews and three nieces.
He was predeceased by his wife, Linda Nordyke, brother James Nordyke and parents Myrtle and Robert Nordyke Sr.
A service will be held at the Florida National Cemetery at 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513 on December 3, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
