Dorothy is survived by her husband, Gus; her children, John, Steve, Susan and Ron; her grandchildren; Amy, Steven, Eric, Matthew, Madeline and Rachael and four great-grandchildren.
Dorothy graduated from University Tampa and Plant High School and Married Gus, a Hillsborough High Graduate in 1954. They celebrated 63 years of marriage this past August.
Dorothy (Dottie), treasured and adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dottie and Gus loved to travel, with Dottie documenting their trips with many photographs and momentous. On a few occasions she was able to travel back to Norway to visit family and visit her uncle on the farm where her father grew up. Dottie had a loving relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was active in Church, teaching Sunday School, VBS and participating in bible studies.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on March 2nd at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home,
4207 E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL. Reverend Bob Block from First Baptist Church of Tampa will officiate.
In lieu of Flowers donations may be made in Dottie’s memory to the Foster Care Ministry of the Florida Baptist Children's Homes, 1015 Sikes Blvd, Lakeland, FL 33815.
