Douglas was born to Everett and Janet Yacker and spent his life valuing simple, meaningful pleasures. He attended college and, while he did not pursue a formal career, he took pride in the things that brought him peace and enjoyment. He especially loved golfing, reading, and caring for his lawn, activities that reflected his quiet, steady nature.
He is survived by his brother and sister, Bill and Linda Yacker; his sons, Brian and Pete Yacker; and his beloved grandchildren, Levi and Cici, who brought him great joy.
No services will be held.
Douglas will be remembered for his love of family and the calm presence he brought to those around him.
