Duane Jones

Duane Arlan Jones, 77, of Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, in Land O’ Lakes, Florida. Born on April 14, 1948, in Tampa, Duane remained a proud Floridian throughout his life, known for his love of family, the outdoors, and simple joys.

He is survived by his loving daughter Cassandra; his siblings Danny Jones, David Jones, and Denise Delbaugh; seven nieces and nephews; and five great-nieces and great-nephews. Duane was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Donald Jones, Junior, and Nadine Jones.

Duane proudly served in the Army before joining the workforce in sales, real estate, and data analytics.

Duane had a lifelong passion for playing softball and fishing—activities that brought him joy and many friendships. He was a man of tenacity, strength, and unwavering loyalty, always ready with a story, a helping hand, or a smile. Those who knew him will remember his easygoing nature, his love for the outdoors, and the genuine care he showed to those around him.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home – Carrollwood, located at 3207 W. Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL 33618. The viewing will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Florida National Cemetery at 1:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to a charity of your choice in Duane’s memory.
