Easter passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. Her last remaining moments were spent at home listening to her favorite songs, surrounded by her family and beloved dogs. Easter was born in Ohio to Ruby and Hubert Harris on March 30, 1964. She relocated to Florida in the 1980s and spent the majority of her life in Tampa raising her family. Later in life, she lived in Land O’ Lakes with her husband, Rick Munder, and their five fur babies, Holly, Juliet, Chanse, Daisy, and Duke. She worked for Owens Online LLC for 28 years as the main accountant and personal business handler.
Easter enjoyed bird watching, any and all music, being near the water, and rescuing animals. She was also the best person to find a deal and the first to jump on a shopping trip. Easter’s pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. Her memory lives on deeply in the lives and paws she touched. No amount of time passed will or could make her bubbly, goofy, and caring personality forgettable. Her quirky sense of humor is often reflected in her grandchildren, as is her deep love and passion for animals in her children. She will be deeply missed.
It is also her family’s request that Easter be remembered as who she was and not for her illness. May we find peace in knowing that she no longer has to fight and that she has been reunited with her mother and brother, Charlie, as well as her soulmates, Tiffany and Toby. One of her favorite quotes, from another terminal cancer patient, was: “Don’t be sad for me. We all come into this world to be tourists, enjoy life, go sightseeing, do good deeds. I just so happen to be leaving earlier than others.”
So, go to Cape Cod, have lobster by the sea, order the porterhouse, and buy the purse. Remember that version of her.
A celebration of Easter’s life will be held at a later date, when her family has had time to grieve, heal, and begin adjusting to life without her. When the time feels right, family and friends will
come together to celebrate Easter the way she would want to be remembered—with love, laughter, stories, music, and the people who meant the most to her. Details will be shared with
family and friends at a later time.
