Elizabeth Jeanne Camalo

Born on February 8, 1929, in Barnes, Kansas, Elizabeth was the daughter of Ira and Verna Crissman. She married Joseph Camalo and eventually made Tampa her home, where she resided for many years.

Elizabeth dedicated many years of her professional life to General Electric, where she worked in the Accounting Department until her retirement. A woman of strong faith and service, she was a member of First United Methodist Church of Tampa for many years, where she served faithfully as the Financial Secretary. In later years, Elizabeth became a devoted member of Hyde Park United Methodist Church, Tampa.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Joseph Camalo, Jr., and her parents, Ira and Verna Crissman. She is survived by her cousin, Helen Clark, and a wide circle of cherished friends and neighbors who will remember her warmth, kindness, and steady presence.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Hyde Park United Methodist Church, 500 W. Platt Street, Tampa, FL.

A visitation for Elizabeth will be held from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM.Interment will follow at 3pm at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, 4202 E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home, 51 Main Street, Enterprise, FL 32725.
