WEIMAN, Ellen, 101, of Tampa, passed away October 16, 2018. She was born on January 10, 1917 in Manchester, New Hampshire to the late Dr. Harry Lyman Watson and Jeanette Bartlett Watson. Ellen educated many children during her career as a public school teacher.
Ellen Weiman was known around the Tampa area for her unique depiction of old homes in Ybor City and historic Tampa cigar factories, many of which no longer exist. She used her degree in biology from the University of New Hampshire to enhance her distinctive artistic style. Her unique art style developed over a period of many decades starting in her college years. Ellen taught art in the Hillsborough County School system before retiring some 32 years ago. She was cognizant and in good spirits until this past year.
Ellen is preceded in death by her husband Carlos F. Weiman, son Edward Otto Weiman, and daughter Emma Weiman Stanford. She is survived by two sons; Carl F. R. Weiman and wife Beverly, of Connecticut and Enrique W. Weiman and wife Sharon, of Georgia, four grandchildren, Kathy Stanford, Margie Stanford, Shannon Weiman and Lindsay Weiman, five great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. Ellen will be laid to rest in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, Tampa, Florida near her husband and son.
