Eurasia L. (Lindy) Fernandez

Lindy was born and raised in Tampa to Enrique and Eurasia Fernandez on October 15th, 1924. She graduated from Florida State University with her bachelor’s degree and received her master’s in library sciences from Appalachian State University in her favorite place, Boone, NC. She enjoyed many summer breaks with family and friends in the Boone mountains.

She retired from Hillsborough Community College where she was the library department head for many years. She was an active member at Christ the King Catholic church and volunteered in the Christ the King school library.

Lindy is preceded in death by her mother, Eurasia, father, Enrique and brother, Henry James Fernandez and sister-in-law, Irene Bermudez Fernandez. Lindy is survived by her nephew, Henry Fernandez and niece-in-love Vivian, great nieces, Danielle Fernandez and Robin Peterson (Paul) and great-great nieces, Riley and Maya. She is also survived by her beloved dog Dulce.

In Lieu of flowers, Donations may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Lindy’s memory.
