Eva was the daughter of Miserain De La Cruz and Ana America De La Cruz Medina. She devoted much of her life to caring for her parents and later extended that same love and devotion to her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Although Eva never married and did not have children of her own, she was a mother to all of us. Her guidance, affection, generosity, and constant presence helped shape generations of her family.
Eva loved life and approached each day with happiness and gratitude. She was an avid reader who especially enjoyed crossword puzzles and other activities that kept her mind active. A devout Christian throughout her life, Eva read her Bible daily and found strength, peace, and purpose in her faith.
She will be remembered for her joyful spirit, her caring heart, and her unwavering devotion to her family and to God. Her love was freely given, and her influence will remain in the hearts and lives of everyone she cared for.
Eva was preceded in death by her brother, Luis De La Cruz, and her sister, Aida Garcia De La Cruz.
She is survived by her brother, Efrain De La Cruz; her sisters, Sonia De La Cruz Medina and Daisy Garcia De La Cruz; and her many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Eva’s family will forever cherish her memory and the unconditional love she gave to each of them. Though she will be deeply missed, they find comfort in knowing that her faith remained strong throughout her life and that she is now at peace in the presence of the Lord.
