TINDALE, Evelyn, also known as Mama and Granny of Tampa Florida passed away peacefully in her home on May 20, 2026. She was born on February 22,1934 in Tampa Florida to Lawrence and Elizabeth "Bessie" (Rector) Polk.
Evelyn was many things a Wife, Mama, Granny to many, and a Homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters Dianna Davis of Tampa, Bettie (Jimmy) Nogueras of Tampa. 14 grandchildren
27 great grandchildren
And many nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Lawrence and Bessie Polk; Her husband Ira Porter Tindale, Two sons Ira Porter(Bubba) Tindale of Zephryhills, Albert Lawrence Tindale of Tampa, Two great grandchildren, Addyson and Jacob Howard of Zephryhills. Three brothers John (Gene) Polk -Sanford, Lawrence Marion Polk -Seffner, George (David) Polk -Riverview
The family will receive friends and family from 10am-12pm on Friday May 29th 2026 at Blounts and Curry Funeral home- Carrollwood Tampa
Graveside service follows at 3pm on May 29th 2026 at Ellzey cemetery in Ellzey FL. Interment will follow services.
