Fernando was born in Camaguey, Cuba to Candido and Dalia Corbacho on June 5th 1946. He went to school in New York City. He graduated from the University of South Florida in 1991. He worked as an electronic technician for Sperry, Hercules, Raytheon and Global Technical System. He is a veteran of the Vietnam war and served in the United States Marine Corp and was wounded at the Battle for Khe Sanh and awarded the Purple Heart medal and others. He's a former member of the Civil Air Patrol and participated in several rescue missions.
Fernando is survived by his brother Robert and sister-in-law Rose Corbacho, and several cousins.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 5pm at Blount and Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood Chapel with the Rev. Robert C Douglas of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church officiating.
Interment with Military Honors will take place at Arlington National Cemetery on Tuesday, November 17, 2020.
