She was born to the late Murden and Gladys Ashcroft in Alexandria Louisiana on November 16, 1925. She later moved to Minden Louisiana where she lived until the time of her marriage in 1946 and she became a military wife. She consequently lived all over the world which instilled in her a love of travel and adventure which she continued to do well into her 80's.
Marie is survived by her only son Marc S. Dixon of Tampa and her daughter-in-law Candace K Sugarek-Dixon. She is also survived by her two granddaughters Amanda Goode of Brooksville Fl. and Rachel Dixon-Zudar of Tampa Fl., three great granddaughters Shannon, Shelby and Sloane.
Marie was proceeded in death by her loving husband of 44 years L.E. "Dick" Dixon in 1990.
