

Frank Huffman Crum died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, in Tampa, FL on September 18, 2015 at the age of 77. Frank is survived by his children - daughter Joelle Hunter, her husband Nathan and their children Jackson and Wyatt (Tampa, FL), son Jason Crum, his wife Kerry and their children Sheridan and Ryan (Vienna, VA) and son Adam Crum, his wife Lindsay and their children Cooper and Anna (Atlanta, GA). He is also survived by his brother, James Crum (Chicago, IL). He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Martha Crum as well as his beloved wife, Jeanne Riedell Crum. Frank was born on December 13, 1937 in Pittsburg, PA and grew up in Garden City, NY where he was an accomplished high school athlete. He went on to study and play basketball at Union College, and after graduating in 1959 worked as a hydrogeologist for Leggette, Brashears & Graham until retiring in 1997. Frank married Jeanne Riedell on February 2, 1963 and the couple raised 3 children in Garden City until moving to Lipsey Road in Carrollwood in 1974. Friends and family remember him as a warm and devoted father & friend who loved nothing more than a practical joke, a funny anecdote, a glass of Jim Beam and a good day on the golf course. A funeral is scheduled at 10:30 am on September 28 at Saint Mark's Episcopal Church, 13310 Cain Road, with a reception to follow at Carrollwood Country Club. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Frank's life.
