Frank George Maher

With heavy hearts and endless love, we celebrate the remarkable life of Frank George Maher, our beloved husband, father, Pop-Pop, and friend who passed away on July 4, 2026. For 92 wonderful years, he filled our lives with love, laughter, happiness, and unforgettable memories. While our hearts ache in his absence, we find comfort in knowing he is now free from pain and watching over all of us.

He was the beloved husband of Carolynn for 69 beautiful years. Their marriage was a testament to unwavering love, devotion, and partnership. She was truly the love of his life.

A proud United States Marine, he honorably served his country during the Korean War from 1952 to 1955. His pride in the Marines remained with him throughout his life and was always on display.

He had a lifelong passion for cars. Whether he was racing at the drag strip in New Jersey, reading the car advertisements and local cars for sales, or cruising in one of his favorite cars wearing his sunglasses, blasting his favorite music, and lovingly driving his wife crazy, he was happiest behind the wheel. Cars weren't just a hobby—they were part of who he was.

Another great love in his life was his magnificent Great Danes. He always had the biggest, most beautiful dogs and took great pride in them, eagerly showing them off whenever he could, even participating in local dog shows.

He dedicated his life to hard work and providing for his family. He worked for Maislin Brothers Trucking in New Jersey for more than 30 years, followed by more than 10 years with Budd Moving in New Jersey. After moving to Florida, he continued working for Publix for another 10 years, making lasting friendships everywhere he went.

Above all else, he was devoted to his family. He was a beloved father to; Kirk (Barbarella) Maher, Kerry (Randy) Robb, Karlyn (Arthur) Rouvet, Keith (Marina) Maher, and Dabeed (David), the coolest Pop-Pop to nine grandchildren, and a proud great-grandfather to twelve great-grandchildren. He treasured every moment spent with his family and leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, humor, and kindness.

He was preceded in death by his son Kelly.

Though we will miss his laughter, his stories, and the larger-than-life presence he brought into every room, we know his love will remain with us always. His memory will live on in every family gathering, every laugh shared, every beautiful Great Dane, and every classic car that rumbles down the road.

He will forever be in our hearts—always our beloved husband, father, Pop-Pop, and friend. Rest peacefully. You are free of pain, deeply loved, and never forgotten.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Blount & Curry FH-Carrollwood, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL 33618, US, on October 3, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. With a military honors service starting at 2pm.
