October 24, 2020. Frank lived in Tampa/Lutz all of his life. Frank retired in 1996, after 30 years at GTE/Verizon. Frank loved to travel and spent many years traveling the world with his wife and their friends. He felt blessed to have the opportunity to see such beautiful things. Frank loved his family, his country and his Lord. He was an active member of Lutz Community Church (previously Tims Memorial Presbyterian Church). He was Veteran of the Army National Guard of Florida and a member of Masonic Lodge 185.
Frank was known by all as the man that could fix or build anything. It was very normal to see him at a neighbor’s house or at his church with a hammer or a saw in his hand. Frank restored antique cars and taught his children the value of home and car care though hands-on experiences.
Frank was survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Stephanie; daughter, Johnette and husband, David; son, Chad and wife, Sharon. The apples of his eye were his granddaughter, Natalie and her husband, Corey, great-grandson, Gavin, and grandson, John who joined the United States Army on October 27, 2020 which made his grandfather very proud.
Frank was predeceased by his parents, Frank M. and E. Helen Parades and his son, Mark.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2020 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, interment to follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
