I know I’m a bit late, but God put me on a mission the last couple of weeks to try and find my childhood friends of days gone by.  I now did.  

I am so sorry for your loss.  The Fred I knew was somebody I looked up to.  He was a leader in his own rite.  The memories of hanging at the house with Fred, Ralph, Owen and the family, I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.

My God Fred did we have some good times. You got my company out of some tuff spots. You are a brilliant attorney  and a good friend . Miss our long talks and your stories. Get me set up on the other side maybe a LLC  to start. I'll  bring the Johnnie Walker Black and two Cubins

To my brother who was always the over-achiever, no matter what area he was involved with...Sports,Law,etc. Throughout his last 10 years of his life, I wish I could have done more to support and guide...this is my regret..

I will miss you, my dear friend.  Thank you for all the support you gave me over the years.  You were my rock during a horrible time in my life.  Thank you for everything.

Fred was a patient of my husbands from the time he was about ten years when his father brought him and his brothers to my husbands office for their eye exams . we always enjoyed freds appointment. when he came back from college, he was still a great friend and patient. my sympathy to his family He will be remembered.

Fred was the first attorney I ever worked for and was a gentlemen and a scholar. He was a mentor to me and always had a great sense of humor. It took years but I finally was able to understand his handwriting. One day he asked me to look up a poem for him to send to a friend that has passed. I feel that this poem is fitting for the occasion and would like to share it.

 Not - What did he gain? But - What did he give?

 These are the things that measure the worth
 Of a man as a man, regardless of birth.

 Not - What was his station? But - had he a heart?
 And - How did he play his God-given part?

 Was he ever ready with a word of good cheer?
 To bring back a smile, to banish a tear?

 Not - What was his church? Not - What was his creed?
 But - Had he befriended those really in need?

 Not - What did the sketch in the newspaper say?
 But - How many were sorry when he passed away?

 These are the things that measure the worth

I have many fond memories of Fred,  He was one of the smartest students I had in my high school classroom.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

Fred was a mentor...role model for me going back FOREVER ago when my older brother and I attended Berkeley Prep. The definition of a great coach is one that can inspire and enable you to do things you thought weren't possible and to me that's what Fred embodied. Now that he's gone, I find myself wanting to talk to him....to have one of those deep thinking coversations. I know recent years have been tough for Fred; however, I'll always remember the great memories I have of Fred. I'll miss you Lowe Man....RIP!  Love, Todd Bridges
