Gary Wayne Horwood

It is with great sadness that the family of Gary Wayne Horwood announces his passing at the age 57 on October 16, 2020 in Tampa, Florida. Gary was a life-long resident of Tampa. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred L. Horwood and his father-in-law, Richard R. Thompson. He is survived by his wife of 36 years LeeAnn; his daughters: Kara and Katie (Mike) Alexander; his father, John; his siblings: Donna, Susie (Ray) Soza, Glenda (Andrew) Mendello, and David; his mother-in-law Delores Thompson; his siblings-in-law: Robert (Toni) Thompson, Deborah (Kenneth) Payne, Nicole James, and Richard (April) Thompson; and his many nieces and nephews. Gary was a long-time member of Tripoli Tampa Rocketry Association and an avid saltwater fisherman. Funeral service will take place on Friday, October 23, 2020 at 1:00pm at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 E Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida . The Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
