July 24, 1943 – November 22, 2025
Gerald Paul Randazzo (Jerry) was born to Aldolfo Clemente and Maria Christina (Gonzalez) Randazzo on July 24, 1943, in Tampa, Florida. Jerry was a beloved father, brother, uncle, mentor, and friend. He grew up in West Tampa, surrounded by family and friendships that lasted his entire lifetime.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Louis Randazzo; Sarah Feakes and her husband, Ivan; and Anna Randazzo and Peter Taylor. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Emily and her husband, James Franks, and their daughter, Eleanor—Jerry’s first great-granddaughter—and Eden Feakes and her fiancé, Alejandro Garay. He leaves behind his always dear friend and former wife, Barbara, as well as his sister and brother-in-law, Joann and Joe Tomaino. He is lovingly remembered by his many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Jerry was drafted into the U.S. Army at the age of 19 and served his country faithfully as a front-line infantry medic in the Vietnam War. His valor was recognized through several medals awarded for his service. Following his military duty, he worked as a telephone lineman and later retired from Tampa Electric Company, where he served in Operations.
Jerry always had a kind word for everyone and took great joy in making sure those he cared for received one of his famous Christmas gifts, beloved highlights of every holiday season. He never met a stranger and made friends effortlessly wherever he went. He loved to travel, often venturing far and wide with various companions, and he was always ready for a day of fishing.
With his wit and wisdom, he embraced life wholeheartedly. He will be deeply missed, but the memories he created with those he loved will echo through every family gathering, keeping his spirit forever alive.
Jerry passed to his eternal home on November 22, 2025. Graveside services will be held on December 17, 2025, at 12 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Garden of Memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a veterans’ charity of your choice in his memory.
Rest in peace, Jerry. West Tampa will never forget you.]
