Dear Maurice and family - 

I  just recently heard about Gloria's passing , and needless to say very saddened to hear .
Gloria had a tremendous impact on myself with a heart so big . I had the pleasure of working with her from the late 80's into the 2010 at Moffitt . We became great friends and I will never forget her love , loyalty , support and unwavering love she possessed to other's she truly cared for and her family .  Her love for my  Charlie was undeniable.  I am so sad I never knew although I asked about her several times as the calls lessened ,  now I understand why. I truly believed she went to Africa to live as she had longed for  . I will be forever saddened I never had a chance to say so long ..

My condolences and heartfelt sympathy to all of you at the passing of your dear Gloria.  I remember meeting her at Moffitt around 2003 and the best memory I have was her beautiful smile, her soft demeanor and the loving care that she gave to every single patient.  May you all have a sense of peace at this time; prayers to all of you for strength, courage and understanding at her passing.

I remember your beautiful smile that you always had on your face. You were a good mother, grandmother, and a great sister and friend to my husband Jake. We had a lovely family moment at Dick Gregory 's last comedy show in Tampa. You were always sweet and always about Love for your family. You will truly be missed. God has taken you home , rest in place from all your labour,pains, and sorrows. 💕💕💕💕





 
I extend my  heart felt sympathy to the entire family. Gloria was an exceptional nurse.  I will never forget the kindness she extended to my late sister. She frequently sent her well wishes via cards. She was a kind soul. She had a deep faith and I am sure she went in peace. My God bless you all during these  difficult days ahead.

You were my best friend. I'm trying to find the right words to say between the tears that have come non-stop since yesterday.   I know they are selfish because I'm devastated that I won't see you, hear your laugh and be able to talk to you.  I wish you would have told me that you were sick but it just wasn't how you did things.   We would spend hours on the phone and we never didn't have a new topic to talk about.  I would say "Gloria, I have to go we have been on the phone for 3 hours, Marc just came home."  We would laugh and say "call you later"...   You were always there for me and taught me so much.  You and Maurice prevented me from a bad investment and I was able to get my money back.  You were good at reading people.  You just sensed who was good and who was bad.   When you told me you weren't feeling well but when I didn't hear from you at Thanksgiving and Christmas I I thought you were busy with Cha Cha. I didn't want to bother you and I didn't want to burden you with my illness.    I sent  you a text on New Years when I didn't hear from you and was worried, in my gut I knew something wasn't right.  Unfortunately my own doctors appointments stopped me from get back to you right away.  
I loved you so much.  You were such a wonderful, kind and loving friend who always thought about everyone else.  Your soul was perfect and kind.  I am so happy that God brought us together and that you were my friend. I know how much I will miss you.  I know you are out of pain and finally at peace.  I'm trying to find some solace in knowing that is just part of God's bigger plan  for you in the Circle of Life.  You are in my heart forever and I love you.  Sleep in peace now beautiful lady, I will see you again and we will sit in your garden laughing and talking.  Hugs and Kisses always    Vicki

Gloria was  more like a sister than a friend.. We met at work in 1994, both nurses. My most precious and recent memory of my friend are how she supported me during the lost of my husband from  end-stage Multiple Myeloma.. My husband Robert loved Gloria like a sister, as I did.. As Robert lay in the ICU on a ventilator, past overwhelmed, I called Gloria crying. I don't remember actually how much I was able to articulate through my blubbering but the phone went dead. When I looked up again she and Maurice was coming through the door of Robert's ICU room door.. We fell in each other arms and just cried and cried. We both knew just how bad my husband's condition was. Every single day Maurice brought her to the hospital to sit with me. She would come in the morning and leave at night. We didn't even eat, we just talked, hugged sometime and cried sometimes. We occasionally had a laugh or two. She did that everyday until I had to let Robert go Nov. 7, 2017. We often teased about how she wasn't for everybody; she was a complicated, extradonary lady whom I loved dearly. I will miss you Gloria but hope to one day see you again  🌹
