

Harriet was born in Chicago to Mildred and Sidney Shlossman on January 18,1941
Harriet went back to school after her kids were of school age and received a degree in Education from Florida Atlantic University and taught 4th grade Elementary school at William Jennings Bryant in Miami Lakes, FL
Harriet had a passion for travel and took many trips to various parts of the world including Africa, Italy, Switzerland, Great Britain and Germany to name a few. She also enjoyed cruising and took several trips to the Caribbean and Alaska with her family and friends
She also had a love for the theater and had a membership to Ruth Eckard Hall in Clearwater. When not seeing live theater she also attended the opera with her friends that lived in the Tampa Bay area
Harriet was a mahjong maven and played for more than half of her life, always taking quarters, dimes and nickels from those she played because she was just that good.
After retirement, she volunteered at ORT and also Menorah Manor.
Harriet is preceded in death by her parents, Sheldon Shlossman (brother) , Frank Kaplan, Harvey Tenenblatt and Grandson Christopher Tenenblatt.

Graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Tampa, FL
