Helen Horne

Horne, Helen 96 of Tampa, FL. passed away on March 26, 2023. She was born and raised in Tampa where she graduated from Hillsborough High School. Helen later married the love of her life, James Horne Jr. and they were able to spend 73 amazing years together. Helen was a supportive wife and proud homemaker. She loved being a mother to her three children, Judi, Jim and Jana. Helen enjoyed square dancing, shopping and sewing. She loved watching Murder She Wrote and Perry Mason on TV, but more importantly she loved her family.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, James V. Horne Jr. and her son, James V Horne III. Helen is survived by her daughters, Judi Gentry and Jana Horne; grandchildren, Jesse, Jimmy, Jacque, Jason, Justin, Jay, Jillian and Thad; 16 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren who will miss their Nanny very much.

A funeral service to celebrate Helen will take place at 2:30pm on Friday, April 7, 2023 at Blount and Curry Carrollwood Funeral Home located at 3207 W. Bearss Ave. Tampa, FL. 33618. Family will receive friends at 2pm and then again after the service for a light reception.
