Henk helped me win the largest soft tissue verdict in USA 1991 after other attorneys could not comprehend the level of unique injuries. It began an impact for other people to be believed on their own cases. 

Using his skills and tenacity pursuing every aspect and witness work, he put together a successful case in only a few weeks before our trial.

I'll be forever grateful that his effort had good results for further use by all attorneys to follow what he utilized for the good of everyone!

This may come off odd but I came across the grave site of the Uiterwyk family and simply looked up the name to try and see how to pronounce it. In my search I learned of what seemed like a hardworking family man. May be rest in peace and much respect ! 

I’m very grateful for having learned so much from Henk when he’d handled my landmark case  with cinefloroscopy on my spine. Had it not been for his tenacious representation, I 
don’t know what would’ve come of such unique injuries. He’d befriended me as a client so
my confidence in having an attorney who actually asserted every effort on evidentiary facts
will go beyond saying. His actions changed my life in positive ways with lessons I use today. 
We even drove to the trial together rehearsing facts which were important so he relayed all
circumstances for lay people of our jury to comprehend. Expert witnesses of Rutgers, Yale & Harvard educations were presented along with friends from NY he’d flown down to Florida. 
He went an extra mile to make sure no stone was left unturned for a thorough trial standing 
up for me and subsequent similarly injured people. My case went National in 1990, and he’d 
commented in shock at how much he made-I’d said “you’re the only one who worked on it”!

I was very sad to learn of Henk's passing.  My sincere condolences to Vicky and Henk's family whom he spoke often about.  I had the honor and privilege to work with Henk as one of his expert witnesses in litigation against cigarette manufacturers.  Suing tobacco companies is not for the faint of heart.  Henk was not faint of heart when obvious injustice was involved.  In the courtroom Henk was a warrior who fought tirelessly for his clients to get them the justice they were owned.  Outside the courtroom Henk was kind and generous and a lover of life.  He loved the work he did, he loved his Tesla, and he loved his family.  While it is sad to be writing this note for someone taken too soon, it is also important to remember that Henk lived life well setting an example for all of us to follow.  Rest in peace.  

My heart is saddened, learning of the passing of Henk. He was my daughter Misty's  attorney & I got to know him well. He was brilliant & personable. What a great loss. I am so sorry for his wife & family, of whom he loved dearly & was so proud of.

I’m still in shock and disbelief ..Henk was such a force of nature ..it’s hard to believe. He was not only my friend ..he was an important mentor to me and reading these other comments ..he was an important mentor to many. He was a gentleman by every definition and his word and handshake were his bond. He loved you Vickie...and his  family with all of his heart. He was generous and really enjoyed helping people that were in tough situations. Henk was a lawyer’s lawyer ... lawyers came to him when they needed assistance....that says a lot right there. Literally... thousands of people are better off and were fairly compensated because Henk

I am truly saddened by the passing of Henk. Over the last 30 years we litigated many cases and were in trial together on 9-11....  He was a worthy and cantankerous advocate and I will miss him.  

Henk was the best boss and mentor I could ever have expected to have.  He was so much fun to watch in the courtroom and even more fun to have a drink with afterwards.  Tampa has truly lost one of its best. 

My family’s prayers of healing go out to Vicky and Henk’s family.  He will be missed.
