ROBERTS, Ilah Rosamond, 87, passed peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior and other family that preceded her. She was born in Pennville, Indiana on December the 16th, 1926 and left us on November 05, 2014 in Plant City, Florida. Ilah spent most of her early life in Eaton, Indiana where her parents, Claude and Edith Addington, were both school teachers and store owners. Ilah and her family moved to the south Tampa area in 1954 and her parents followed a few years later. She was a member of the Eastern Star and although baptized Methodist she attended the First Baptist of Plant City once she moved to the area. Her interests were family, reading and following the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. She would cheer the Bucs on by yelling at the TV as if they could actually hear her! After retiring from her professional life she devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to her grandchildren as their main babysitter until they entered Kindergarten. Ilah is survived by her husband Howard, Sister Janette Crow, 2 sons, two daughters-in-law, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Nanci Fick Roberts who lived in the Orlando area. At the request of the family there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Humane Society due to her lifelong love of cats or to your local Hospice as LifePath Hospice in Hillsborough County was a true comfort to both Ilah and her family as her journey on this earth was ending.
