Jack Russell Wormington

Jack spent his childhood attending numerous grammar schools and high schools throughout the Midwest. He was very active in Boy Scouts, where he worked hard to achieve the badge and the honor of being an Eagle Scout- which was one of his proudest moments.

He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Truman State University, formerly Missouri State Teachers College. While at Truman State, he initiated and applied for a Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity Charter. He was able to see his efforts through as the University recognized TKE as an official Truman State University Fraternity during his senior year.

In 1981, he became the President and CEO of Centurion CARES, formerly known as Centurion Computer Systems of Brookfield Wisconsin. In 1999 he and his family relocated to Tampa Florida and expanded business operations. He worked there until he retired in 2015. In his retirement he remained a board member and a consultant to the business. He was incredibly proud of Centurion CARES.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Mike Johnson, daughter, Stacey Wormington-Remack and one of his closest pals, Max- the Golden Doodle.

He is survived by his loving wife and life partner of 44 years Pamela; sons, Kirk Wormington of Odessa, FL, Jason (John) of Overland Park,KS, Shay Parish (Peggy) of St. Cloud FL ; sister, Myra Herzog of Park City UT; son in Law, Ken Remack of Chaska MN; grandchildren, Ethan, Emily, and Cole. Jack was also blessed with several incredible nieces, nephews, and cousins. His cousin, Fred Stone (Joan) of Lincoln NE has been like a brother and best friend for all of his life.

Jack was a leader, an entrepreneur, a mentor, a man of his word and a loyal friend. He will truly be missed by many.

The family will receive friends 1:00- 2:00pm on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home located at 3207 W. Bearss Avenue, with Memorial Service to Celebrate his Life to begin at 2:00 PM
