He was a Navy veteran, having served on the nuclear submarine the Simon Bolivar. He spent over 30 years as an ironworker, where he was known as hardworking and dedicated to getting the job done. He was a man of integrity, kindness, and generosity, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
His hobbies and interests were watching Nascar, gardening, working in his shop, baking pound or fruit cakes, and telling stories while spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, 4 children, 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, niece and nephews, great nieces and nephews, 1 brother, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 11th, 2025, from 5-7 pm At 6 pm, the family will have a time of sharing memories at Blount & Curry Funeral Home- Carrollwood, located at 3207 W. Bearss Ave. Tampa, FL. In honor of Jackie, please wear western wear to his service.
